Ivo’s Journey:
from water polo to a winning deal

Ivo is proof that leveraging your network organically, with a focus on fun and genuine connections, can lead to impactful collaborations. His work with ViaSana, a private orthopedic clinic specializing in hip, knee replacements, and ACL surgeries, showcases how spotting opportunities through relationships can deliver both meaningful results and significant wins.

The story began through Ivo’s water polo teammate, Mike Gabriel, Marketing Manager at ViaSana. Their friendship wasn’t built on business; it was built on shared goals in the pool and post-practice conversations. Mike often shared his bold ideas for apps with Ivo, turning to him for advice and brainstorming. One evening, over beers, a particular idea stood out: a movement app for patients with hip, knee, or foot complaints.

The app, MotiMove, wasn’t born out of a sales pitch—it was sparked by curiosity and camaraderie. Ivo recognized the potential for this app to do more than just generate revenue. To give patients control and insight into their complaints and progress, while reducing the workload for doctors. What really excited Ivo was seeing how enthusiastic Mike became as the idea started to take shape. “I loved seeing how proud he was to share the project with others, even his teammates,” Ivo shared.

Using his network and knowledge, Ivo helped refine Mike’s idea into a clear vision. Together, they worked out a realistic first version and then explored how to bring it to life. Ivo brought Incentro into the fold, engaging our sales team to navigate the business side while he continued to support Mike throughout the process. By showing examples of similar projects —or even completely different but impressive ones— Ivo built Mike’s confidence that Incentro was the perfect partner. Regular check-ins ensured everything stayed on track, further strengthening that trust.

What started as a fun, organic collaboration resulted in a meaningful product and a 200K deal for Incentro. For Ivo, the real win wasn’t just the numbers —it was working on something that mattered and seeing how excited Mike was to see his ideas come to life. For Ivo, the success lies in building the trust that we were the right partner to execute the project.
